Lyophilized Powder (Before Mixing)
Freeze-dried peptide is stable. That's why it ships this way. Treat it well and most vials stay potent for months to years.
Do this
- Refrigerate at 2–8°C (36–46°F) for long-term
- Keep dry, dark, away from direct light
- Minimize temperature swings
- Some peptides tolerate freezer storage while still powder (check compound-specific notes)
- Expect 12–24 months stability when refrigerated for most compounds
Don't do this
- Leave in direct sun or hot cars
- Store above ~25°C for extended periods
- Keep in humid bathrooms or damp drawers
- Cycle between freezer and room temp repeatedly without reason
- Sit next to heat vents or appliances
Mixed Solution (After Reconstitution)
Liquid peptide degrades. BAC water slows bacterial growth but doesn't stop chemical breakdown. Handle mixed vials like food that expires.
Required
- Fridge at 2–8°C right after mixing
- ~25–30 days with BAC water
- 24–48 hours max if you used plain sterile water
- Store upright
- Keep out of light
Hard rules
- Never freeze reconstituted peptide (ice damages the chain)
- Never shake
- Don't leave at room temp "just for a minute" habitually
- Don't use past 30 days because it still looks clear
Label Your Vials
After mixing, write on tape or a sticker:
- Peptide name
- Reconstitution date
- BAC water volume added
- Resulting concentration (optional but saves recalculation later)
Permanent marker on glass works. This prevents grabbing an expired vial at 6am and wondering why nothing happened.
When a Package Arrives
- Inspect vials immediately. Cracks, weird color, broken seals = problem.
- Get lyophilized powder into the fridge ASAP.
- Short room-temp shipping is usually fine for dry powder. Less is better.
- Don't use damaged or discolored product and hope for the best.
Topical Creams and Nasal Mixes
Peptide blended into moisturiser or diluted for nasal spray: refrigerate after mixing, label with date, and treat shelf life conservatively. These aren't the same as dry powder. When in doubt, make smaller batches more often.
